Italian Renaissance Bottega Crash Course (ages 13+; this course is 2

hours long at a price of $450)

Step into the shoes of an artist’s apprentice in 15th Century Italy in this apprentice’s crash course.  You’ll learn to use charcoal and feather quill to copy master works, just as teenaged apprentices were expected to do during the Renaissance.  Part Art History, part Studio Art, students will come away with at least one drawing and their own feather quill, as well as a hands-on understanding of the Italian Renaissance.

Harmony for Beginners (ages 9+)

Learn the basics of harmonizing with a tune, using no written music!  Starting with common tunes, students will learn to find simple harmonies and will learn the difference between resonance and dissonance.  This program can be structured for a classroom, auditorium, chorus, or family program with no maximum number of participants.

Build a Better World Through Art (ages 5+)

Learn what it means to be a “Craftivist” by listening to stories of people who made a difference in their world by using their creativity.  An age-appropriate guided discussion will bring out issues and problems that students know about.  Then, in groups or individually, students will be presented with supplies and asked to come up with a craftivist plan they can implement immediately to make the world a nicer place.  This program has no participant limit, but an expected attendance is requested to ensure enough supplies.
